Solms 4h search behind the duck: the dog directly, entered the water and methodically searched at a calm pace, continuously expanding the search area. The Will to find was evident throughout the work. The search was nose driven, and a joy to observe.

VGP 4h search without a duck: dog swam with purpose across very large pond, then searched perimeter, swimming through and checking several types of cover in deep and shallow water.

Foxtrot is an exceptional dog to train, hunt over, and live with. She comes from my highly successful F Litter and has proven herself both in testing and in the field. Foxtrot completed her Derby with a Prize I and her Solms with a Prize I, all 4s. During her Solms, she was awarded a 4h for search behind the duck, and she again earned a 4h during her VGP for search without a duck.

She is a versatile and reliable hunting companion, used regularly for upland birds, waterfowl, and blood tracking. Foxtrot is a high-drive dog in the field, yet a true pleasure to be around at home and in the truck. She lives in my home with small children and other dogs and demonstrates an outstanding off-switch, calm temperament, and excellent manners.

This breeding, like all Cedar Valley breeding’s, is a performance breeding (both parents have passed the VGP). It is to amplify the traits my kennel is known for: high intelligence, strong drive and intensity in the field, balanced by a calm, well-behaved demeanor in the home, and a dog that naturally gets along with children and other dogs.
